Paint out Aug 20 Medad Tavern in Guilford

Medad Tavern in Guilford will be our venue this week.  Medad Tavern is an historic site in Guilford with old barns and an old farmhouse.  Much to be appreciated inside and out.  We have permission but need to be respectful in our parking as they do not have much room due to the activity of the community garden.  We can't block the gate to the garden and only park on the outside of the gate to the garden.  There's only room for 10 to maybe 15 cars.  A Guilford Keeping Society volunteer will be there to open the house for our use of the bathroom.  Hope you have time to look inside the house.  Leonard Hubbard was an artist and his studio is upstairs.

Directions to Medad Tavern

From I-95, take Exit 57 (US Rte. 1, Boston Post Road). Turn east (right if you are coming from New Haven and left if you are coming from Saybrook) on Rte. 1, and proceed 1 mile. Turn right (south) on Three Mile Course, which is the 2nd right after Bishops Orchard. Proceed 0.2 mile, to a four-way intersection, where the road jogs slightly to the right. Stay on Three Mile Course which is along the school yard. You go past a red barn on the right and Medad Stone Tavern is on your right about 300 yards. The driveway entry is just past the house, an abrupt right up an incline.   Again, don't block the garden entrance in the back and please squeeze in to allow parking for others, since there are limited parking spots.
