Paint out at Provincetown, MA week of Oct 4

Tom Mayer and I have organized a painting trip to Provincetown the first week of October.  He has gone there previously with a painting group from the Glastonbury area and knows great venues for painting.  He also recommended the Inn on the Moors at the very tip of the peninsula.  All the views from the rooms face out onto endless marshes and a distant lighthouse.  Here's the link to the motel website:

The plan is to meet for a happy hour (BYOB) around 5 PM either out by the heated pool or indoors in the breakfast area to discuss the next day's location. All venues will be within 10-15 minutes of the motel.  You can choose to paint with the group or go off on your own.  You also have the option to have dinner with the group.

Another plan for those who are traveling on Oct 4, Sunday, is to arrive in Wellfleet, MA, around lunchtime where we can meet for lunch and then visit a few galleries.  Then on to P-town, a half hour north of Wellfleet (with slow route 6 traffic).  I'm planning on caravanning with one or two folks from Guilford for safety.   As it's a 3 ½ hour drive to Wellfleet, we'll plan to have a few stops along the way.  I know this route very well.

Tom is staying the whole week, I'm staying through Friday, and some are leaving on Thursday.  Some may come later in the week but it's a 3-night minimum stay for the low week rates.  So far, we have 5 painters who have committed to the group trip.  However many (or few) come, it will be great to have a plein air road trip!
