2014 Show Schedule and Calendar

Greetings to All,

I hope you are managing to stay warm and upright and in one piece during this mega-ice season in New England.

I've been trying not only to get some painting done in my studio over the winter, but also to keep up with all the opportunities to exhibit that are coming across my desk. I enjoy showing my work, and I try to get my paintings out over a range of venues through the year. As I have done for the past few years, I have assembled as much of that show information as I can find and plotted it all out in a schedule and calendar. With all the shows plotted together on the same document, I can see where I might run into conflicts between events and how to avoid scheduling the same painting for two shows that overlap.

I've sent these two Excel-based documents to everyone (I think) who painted with CTSA in 2013. If you would like a copy and you did not receive that mailing, please send an email to me at jghartworks@gmail.com. Let me know whether you prefer the editable Excel file or a PDF.

Believe it or not, it will not be long before we're out painting together again. I will be working on a schedule for our paint-outs. If you have suggestions for a place you would like to paint this year, you could either email it to me or post a comment on the blog. Please keep in mind that we need to have parking for as many as a dozen cars. If you have suggested a place before and not heard back from me about it, please don't give up. Tell me again. I really love to have your suggestions, but I don't always remember what we've discussed or manage to put those notes in a safe place.

I also hope that I can add more email addresses to the 48 currently on my regular painters list. On most of our paint-outs this year, we could have accommodated at least a few more painters, and I missed some of you who at one time were on that list. I know -- things change. I hope your absence means that you got a great job or a new grandchild or other events that make enrich your life. But when you have a Thursday morning free, remember where you can find some company.
