Paint Out Tues & Thurs July 20 & 22 at the Florence Griswold Museum, Old Lyme

Important notice!

The company Feedburner is discontinuing their email service in August. They have handled sending out our posts each week for the past ten years. With my computer-savvy son Oliver, calling in from Sweden, I have replaced their email signup/subscribe service with a new one from another company. Please sign up again to receive the regular posts. Until Feedburner actually stops (they have been erratic, changing their stop time from June to July and now to August), you will then receive two copies of the blog post. Better than none!
Thanks, Veronica

Another note: Joan H asked me to post this: Looking for an artistic person to work with an elderly lady, formerly a graphic designer, in East Haven two or three times a week to help and encourage her in art/painting. Some compensation. Contact Bernadette DiGiulian, 203-214-0928, bpdigiul@aol.com.

This week we will paint at a favorite spot, the Florence Griswold Museum. The beautiful buildings, the colorful garden, the peaceful Lieutenant River - the American Impressionists loved to paint here back when Miss Florence ran her boarding house/art colony at the turn of the twentieth century, and so do we. Park in the furthest lot (on the way you can drop your equipment off on the grass near the museum).

Last Thursday at the CT River Museum in Essex, Nancy, Keiko, Sandy, Betsey, and Veronica found some shade to paint the view or the museum. It was very hot but we enjoyed the morning.
