Paint Out Tues & Thurs May 18 & 20, Chatfield Hollow State Park, Killingworth

This week we'll be at Chatfield Hollow State Park. This is a favorite place to paint, with its calm lake, beach, trails, river, children bathing and playing. Directions as usual at https://ctsa-guilford.blogspot.com/p/directions-to-venues.html.

Last week we were in Clinton at the railway bridge over the Indian River. A good week for weather. Betsey reports from Tuesday: "Sunny spring foliage reflections shimmered on the Indian River this Tuesday morning.  Painters set up for the scenery along the river banks were Paul L., Cindy, Jay Babina, Liane & Eve.  Paul gave me a helpful demonstration on how to simplify a watercolor from a complicated drawing, using values" (image of the town hall and the river on the other side of the road).

On Thursday, Robin, Alisa, Tom, Betsey, Nancy, Veronica, Keiko, Jane, and Sally painted on another fine May day. The Indian River is such a pretty little river, and passenger trains rushed over the bridge several times while we were there.
