Call to Paint, Florence Griswold Museum, Old Lyme, Thurs Aug 25, 9 to whenever
I sent this post out on Monday but for some unknown reason the blog added it below the message about Dudley Farm painting this fall, so you may not have seen it. I'm sending it out again and hope you'll see it in time!
The forecast is mostly sunny, 84 degrees, so it should be a good morning to paint in this lovely spot. Most painters like to find a place in or around the garden or Miss Florence's boarding house, or down by the Lieutenant River. We must park in the lot that is furthest away so you will probably want to drop your things off on the grass just before the museum building and walk back.
As I mentioned, the current show in the museum is The Artist's Garden, which is delightful. There is an admission charge for that, but we can paint in the grounds for free. Bring lunch and we'll gather around 12.30 or so.
Driving directions in the right-hand column of the blog at http://ctsa-guilford.blogspot.com/.
See you then.
