Paint Out Tues & Thurs August 17 & 19, Westbrook Green

This week we will be at the Westbrook Town Green but I'm sorry I have little information about this location, just that it is on Rte 1 and Westbrook Place. Maybe it will be cooler this week - let's hope!

Last week at the Oyster River Market, six people came on Tuesday, and one returned on Thursday. (One painting below is from a previous session.) Thanks to Tom, Betsey, and Nancy for photos.

Paint Out Tues & Thurs August 10 & 12 at the Oyster River Market, Old Saybrook

The Oyster River Market was formerly Maynard's, which might be familiar to you. This photo is from Fall 2019, a dramatic sky just after a big storm. Directions and parking information as usual on our blog at https://ctsa-guilford.blogspot.com/ in the right-hand column. Please read the parking info as there is no parking on the road next to the market.

The fall 10-week indoor painting workshop in the Munger Barn at Dudley Farm, Guilford, will begin on Tuesday September 14, 9.30-12.30. There is still some availability. To find out more and to sign up, contact Rosemary Baggish at rbaggish at gmail dot com.

I'm happy to tell you that 28 painters signed up with the follow.it service to receive posts by email for this blog. I'll soon be making up the remaining paint-out schedule for this year, and I would be interested to know, especially if you are a fairly regular painter with us, what locations you particularly enjoy. Email me at veronica dot soell at gmail dot com. Thank you all!

Paint Out Tues & Thurs August 3 & 5, The Hyland House Museum, Guilford

Important notice!

The company Feedburner is discontinuing their email service in August. They have handled sending out our posts each week for the past ten years. With my computer-savvy son Oliver, calling in from Sweden, I have replaced their email signup/subscribe service with a new one from another company, follow.it. Please sign up again to receive the regular posts. Go to the blog at https://ctsa-guilford.blogspot.com/. You will find the new Get New Posts by Email widget in the right-hand column. Until Feedburner actually stops (they have been erratic, changing their stop time from June to July and now to August), you may then receive two copies of the blog post. Better than none! Please be patient with me as I repeat this message far too many times! As of today, 26 of you have already signed up again. Thank you!
Veronica

The back yard at the Hyland House Museum in Guilford has been a popular subject for our group for over ten years (several years ago we had shows of our paintings in an upstairs bedroom). The shed roof is one of the largest in Connecticut (I've been told!) and it makes for a fine painting subject. Directions as usual on our blog at https://ctsa-guilford.blogspot.com/ Park on the street opposite the house (the driveway only accommodates a couple of cars) and walk through to the back.

Last week at the DEEP Marine Headquarters in Old Lyme, Tom, Paul, and Lorraine painted. I didn't see any other painters when I came on Thursday, but it is an interesting location (some photos below).
