Paint Out Tues & Thurs, Sept 1 & 3, at Indian River, Clinton

This week we will be at the Parking Lot & Railroad Bridge, Indian River, Clinton. Directions on our blog at http://ctsa-guilford.blogspot.com/ in the right-hand column.

Last week on Tuesday, six people painted at Chatfield Hollow State Park under the pine trees. They included Tom, Eve, Nancy, Patty, and a couple of others. I understand that it was delightful, but later in the morning became quite hot. Thanks, Patty, for this report plus a lovely watercolor.

Thursday was a dull morning; I went over there midmorning and found no painters - and the afternoon brought tornadoes and downpours.

Paint Out Tues & Thurs August 18 & 20 in Old Lyme

This  week our destination is the Great Island Boat Launch in Old Lyme; directions as usual at our blog https://ctsa-guilford.blogspot.com/p/directions-to-venues.html.

Last week at Clinton Boat Launch on Tuesday it was just too hot for Sandy, Denise, Diana, and Betsey who sketched and then left to try again Thursday. Tom stayed to paint. Betsey's Tuesday photos are the first five below.

Better luck on Thursday when there were 8 painters enjoying the dockside ambiance: Diana, Jane, Sandy, Denise, Tom, Mike, Eve, and Betsey. I was elsewhere in the area (Old Lyme) where it rained heavily, but from Betsey's photos I see that the sun was in and out. Lots of photos below. Thanks, Betsey! -Veronica

Paint Out Tues & Thurs August 11 & 13 at Clinton Boat Launch

This coming week we will be in Clinton at the Boat Launch, directions as usual at the blog at https://www.blogger.com/ in the right-hand column.

I'm getting good responses to the concept of offering two days at the same location in a week. This past week, of course, Tuesday was Tropical Storm Day so I doubt that many of you ventured out. But Thursday was lovely at Stony Creek. Jay, Nancy, Rosemary, Sandy, and Veronica were very happy to get outside and paint. There were ducks, a couple of families on the beach even though no swimming was allowed, and it wasn't too hot for once.

P.S., More Founders' Park Photos!

More photos from Betsey. She, Jane, and Robin braved the heat on Thursday and stayed till noon! (I'm not brave enough for that kind of weather.)
Thank you, Betsey!

Again: Paint Out Tues & Thurs, August 4 & 6 at Stony Creek Branford

I'm repeating this because it ended up at the bottom of the other post. Sorry for any confusion.

This week we will be at Stony Creek Waterfront in Branford. Directions as usual on our blog at http://ctsa-guilford.blogspot.com/p/directions-to-venues.html. Boats, beach, Thimble Islands, gazebo. It's a special place. Photos at the end of this post.

From Tuesday this past week we have a colored pencil sketch from the only intrepid painter's very hot visit to Founders' Park in Old Saybrook; I have no news from Thursday, which was equally hot.

From previous weeks we have one painting from Bauer Park and one from DEEP.
Thank you all who sent me photos of your work!
