News from the Guilford Art Center: Exhibition of John Fleming's paintings

To the current Watercolor Painting Group from Mary Beeman.

I know many of you fondly remember painting with John Fleming over the years.  After he passed, his son, Jack, shared many of his paintings with our outdoor painting group.  We gave the balance to Guilford Art Center to use some day for a fundraiser — well it's happening!!

His family has also donated a number of additional paintings for the show.

I know we'll all be delighted by the many wacky, amazing watercolor paintings with red lips and fingernails!!

There will be an opening reception for an exhibit of John Fleming's paintings on Friday, February 23, 5-7pm at the Guilford Art Center.

Any sales of John's paintings will benefit the Center.

ART & CRAFT BEER FUNDRAISER – Sample some of Connecticut’s best craft brews at GAC’s annual Art & Craft Beer event each spring. Guests are invited to enjoy a selection of beers from area breweries, stroll through the gallery and enjoy bar food; wine and non-alcoholic beverages will also be served. Additionally, there is a silent auction of brewery items and works by GAC students.

John's paintings will also still be in the gallery for this — and his great-nephew, Greg Nobile, is providing catering from The Stand.
