Painting Workshop Opportunity and Season Starting Soon!

Just a couple of weeks until we begin our 2021 season; schedule on page side column. Winter paintings from Betsey are below (thank you!).

In the meantime, if you are interested in painting indoors with others, you may wish to sign up for the following workshop:

Tuesday mornings from April 6 to June 8, 9.30 to 12.30, we will paint in the Munger Barn at Dudley Farm in Guilford - or outdoors in good weather, as you will. There is no formal structure - no particular subject. You bring your own work and paint with company. There are plenty of tables, chairs, heat, and bathrooms; bring your own coffee etc. The barn has lots of windows for good light. This year, you must wear a mask (or socially distance) and have had your Covid shots. Rosemary is in charge; she tells us that the total cost to us is $700, divided among the participants (usually somewhere around 12 to 15 people) and she anticipates that a few vacancies will be available. Once she hears from each of us, she will calculate the individual share. Please contact Rosemary Baggish soon at rbaggish@gmail.com if you would like to join/rejoin us.

New Season Starting Soon!

Our first paint-outs this year are scheduled for Tuesday April 6 and Thursday April 8 at Bauer Farm Park in Madison. We have the schedule posted for April and May, and as soon as Tom returns from Florida, we will post more of the months ahead.

Maybe you painted from your car during the winter? I'd welcome your winter paintings, snowy or not, outdoors or not, to post on the site and get us all thinking about the coming season. Please send them to me at veronicadotsoellatgmaildot com.

My Dublin sketcher sister sent me this link today, from a virtual sketching group in England. https://www.facebook.com/groups/virtualsketchleicester/  Such a clever idea and so many gifted sketchers.

I hope you have all been well this winter; it has been a long one, and I know we are all ready to get outside to paint, to see each other, to do something normal for a change!

My best regards to you, my fellow painters! See you soon.
